Like all animals skunks are fun to watch and enjoy. I love watching skunks waddle along searching for food. They have their nose to the ground and appear oblivious to everything going on around them. However, if you get to close they will usually warn you before they spray you. A skunk will warn you by stumping his foot or sticking his tail straight up with his/her tail hairs standing on end. If this happens freeze. The skunk will usually go on about his lack a dizal way after a few seconds.
Problems may arise when skunks make their home under your home, use your lawn as their grub buffet, or take residency under your shed. Skunks are great diggers and they often dig under foundations, and sidewalks. When this happens they can weaken the buildings foundation and cause cracks in your foundation.
